Dove Men+Care Partners with Gays with Kids for Paternity Leave

This Father's Day, Dove Men+Care partners with Gays With Kids to champion paternity leave for all dads in their new Father's Day campaign.

To celebrate Father's Day this year, the brand released a new film called "Dear Future Dads," featuring real dads -- including two gay dads Marion and Carl -- from around the world who have taken the time to care and what their respective paternity leave experiences mean to them. These dads share their personal stories and challenges they face becoming a new dad, like the lack of paid leave. Access to paid paternity leave is a challenge many dads face in the United States, with only 15 percent of U.S. men having access to them (and of those new dads, most don't take their full time off) despite 89 percent of dads believing it's important that companies provide paid paternity leave benefits.

To further amplify awareness around paid paternity leave, Dove Men+Care crowdfunded 27 new and expecting dads by contributing to their paternity leave requests on various crowdfunding sites including Take12. Of the dads crowdfunded, Mikey Levy and his husband are a same-sex couple who were pregnant via surrogacy. To ensure that all dads are represented, they are working with the Gays With Kids network to highlight the positive impacts taking paternity leave has on the gay community.
