It's Official: 'RuPaul's Drag Race' Renewed for Season 11

Here's some news that will surprise no one: "RuPaul's Drag Race" will return for its eleventh season on VH1, Variety reports.

The announcement comes as "Drag Race" Season 10 heads towards its finale, which will air on June 28.

"After 10 sickening seasons, the 'Drag Race' phenomenon is just getting started," RuPaul, who serves as the show's host and executive producer, said. "I want to thank VH1 for providing this amazing platform for a whole new generation of super talented drag queens."

Variety reports Season 10 of "Drag Race" is averaging about 1.2 million total viewers an episode, making the reality show the most-watched season of the series so far.

"We are thrilled that 'Drag Race' will continue to lead the conversation of inclusion and diversity as the show embarks on its eleventh season," Pamela Post, senior VP, original programming and development at VH1, said. "It's unprecedented for a show to continue to grow on the scale that 'Drag Race' has, and it's just the beginning."

Along with VH1's "Drag Race" renewal, the network also ru-vealed that the after show "UnTucked" has been renewed for another season, Variety notes.

"Drag Race" has gone on to not only win four Emmy Awards, including hosting wins for RuPaul, but has also helped shape pop culture.

There was no announcement as to when Season 11 will air.
