Well, that's one way to sell your new movie.

The director behind the 2018 breakout horror drama "Hereditary," starring Toni Collette, is getting to release his follow up "Midsommar." Speaking with Vulture last week, Ari Aster had some choice words to describe the upcoming film, starring Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, Will Poulter and more.

The teaser for "Midsommar" suggests its a Scandinavian folk horror about a pagan cult. But Aster offered a few more details about his movie when he spoke with Vulture at the Metrograph Anniversary Party.

"It's a breakup movie, in the same way that 'Hereditary' is a family tragedy," the filmmaker said. "It's less overtly a horror movie, but it's still working in that same space. It's very macabre. But people shouldn't go in expecting 'Hereditary.' "

When asked what he'd compare "Midsommar" to if not "Hereditary."

"Is it your 'Mamma Mia?' " Vulture asked.

"Yeah, sure, I'd say so," Aster said. "It's a 'Wizard of Oz' for perverts."

According to IMDb, "Midsommar" is about a "young woman reluctantly joins her boyfriend on a summer trip where things quickly go awry."
