Free App Offered by Award-Winning Adult App Builders
Marie and Margret are just a couple of "down-home" lesbian app builders, but they've built an iNovel that just happens to be the runner-up in the Best App Ever Contest.
The interactive, digital book "Spoon and the Moon" is a whimsically seductive adult fairytale. The popular app is only $.99 on Amazon and $2.99 on the iBookstore, but these women are anxious to spread word of mouth, so for a limited time they are offering the app for free.
The book has "Really delightful characters [and] great storytelling, but this has got so much more than your average e-book," one enthusiastic reader, A. B. Wood said. "Good animated illustrations, sound effects embedded in the text and great music... and very cool musicians wrote songs just for this book."
Winners of the prestigious IndieReader Discovery Award and an eLit gold medal, the authors, Marie Davis and her partner Margaret Hultz, who call themselves Wickedly Sisters have created a wildly imaginative story full of humor, a twinge of tenderness and a heaping of unexpected turns.
The story follows Lil who after years of "slicing and dicing hearts" with her own romantic storytelling decides to find love for herself again, despite the fact that she is completely devoted to... a spoon.
This magical storyline is filled with clever and anthropomorphic characters like an obsessive-compulsive cow, a devious little dog and a lying pair of panties. Still this iNovel could never be classified as cute or cuddly. While everyone has wishes that come true, wishes are tricky and fate is undependable, if not murderous.
"Just imagine our plight," said Davis --"two mouse-wielding lesbians working in a predominately straight male technological world and we really, really need the support of our LGBTIQ family."
Davis is so confident that people will like the book she is offering a free download of the app (through the end of the year). Simply contact the authors at firstname.lastname@example.org with the words "Free App" in the subject line.
