Snooki Prays for a Gay Son
The "Jersey Shore"'s most memorable cast member Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi made headlines this week after she told an audience at the Trevor Project's TrevorLIVE event on Monday that she's praying for a gay son, Entertainment Tonight reports.
Snooki, along with co-star Jenni "JWoww" Farley, were two of the several guests at the star-studded New York City event. Celebs gathered to promote the LGBT organization's anti-bullying and suicide prevention campaign.
"Me and Jenni weren't exactly the best role models, but now that I'm a mom," the reality star, 25, said, "I'm so grateful for The Trevor Project to support the LGBT youth so they have someone there for them because I'm praying I have a gay little boy one day."
"We're huge supporters of the LGBT community. ... So we would do anything to help them and to protect them," Farley added. "We feel like moms when it comes to our gays. We really do."
As New York Daily News reports, Snooki gave birth to her first son, Lorenzo, in August last year. She said that motherhood has changed her for the better.
"When we go out, I feel like I take care of [Jenni] now, and that's weird," she said at the event.
