Spring has arrived at The Crown & Anchor in Provincetown, but forget everything you’ve heard about it going out like a lamb. As the crowds start to throng to the cape, the wild energy starts with piano man Steve SanSousie, "The Mr. New England Rubber Contest" keeps it thumping and the "Turn Up the Volume" series roars throughout the rest of the season.

Some people never figure out what they want to be when they grow up. But for Steve SanSoucie, there was never a question.

Picture it, a polyester-clad boy singing in front of the mirror with pop music of the 60’s and 70’s. Groovy, right?

With influences as diverse as Donna Summer, Billy Joel and The Monkees, you’d think this piano man would have trouble squeezing it all in. But he does it all while injecting the music with a little bawdy repartee. When SanSousie’s on stage one thing just flows into the next: his "Hot Stuff" makes its way into "An Innocent Man" and "I’m a Believer."

A noted performer throughout New England, SanSoucie pops out the hits, from the 1960’s through today. Still, seeing a SanSoucie show is like being in your living room with a good friend. He always makes you feel at home and part of the show, at the Central House April 19 and 26.

This year the Crown & Anchor will make the Mr New England Rubber Contest bigger, blacker and bouncier than ever, with even more slick and sticky debauchery.

Last year the Crown & Anchor made the Mr New England Rubber Contest the biggest, boldest, most rubbery bash in New England’s history.

Back for another round in Provincetown this April 26 at the Paramount Nightclub, the 2nd Annual contest promises to be bigger, blacker and bouncier than ever, with even more slick and sticky debauchery.

Mr. New England Rubber is a competition to choose the best representative of the gay and bi rubber fetish community. The winner will work to strengthen "the kink" scene by hosting events, appearing in public and creating a welcoming sense of brotherhood and support. Don’t miss out on this amazing experience!

Finally, this summer, crowds are anticipating the star-studded "Turn Up the Volume" entertainment series with proceeds going to the Trevor Project.

Building on a hugely successful Lily Tomlin event in 2009, this series aims high to raise the level of show stopping experiences on the cape. And it does this all while providing much needed assistance to a national not-for-profit, the Trevor Project.

Shows are selling out quickly for celebrities like Leslie Jordan, Helen Reddy, Sandra Bernhard, Linda Eder, Liza Minnelli and Alan Cumming. Get your tickets soon.
