’Ex-Gay’ YouTube Star Announces He Will be a Father
Internet celebrity Antoine Dodson, who rose to fame in 2010 for his comments on a local news station, has been openly gay until May when he announced on Facebook that he has become a Hebrew Israelite and "no longer into homosexuality." Now, Dodson is back in the spotlight with another announcement: he will be a father.
According to TMZ, the YouTube star will not reveal who his girlfriend is but says he is in love.
"I just became the happiest man alive!! My beautiful Queen and I are having a baby!!" Dodson tweeted Tuesday night. He also said he and his girlfriend "took two tests to be sure" she was really with child.
"I'm having a baby - no hoax, no joke," he added.
TMZ's Harvey Levin, who is gay, then asked Dodson if he was the man who impregnated his girlfriend.
"Directly impregnated that I really do love," Dodson replied, "I really do love this girl."
Levin and his co-host then wished Dodson the best of luck.
"I have to renounce myself, I'm no longer into homosexuality I want a wife and family, I want to multiply and raise and love my family that I create," Dodson wrote.
Three years ago, Dodson, who resides in Huntsville, Ala., became a YouTube sensation after he was interviewed for a local news station about his sister fighting off a man in her bed. The clip went viral and has over 55 million views.
His interview, where he famously said "hide your kids, hide your wife," has been remixed by the Gregory Brothers, two famous D.J.s for auto-tuning news videos. The song has over 117 million views and sold millions of copies on iTunes.
