"Ride Along" is a fast-paced buddy cop movie featuring the comedic stylings of Kevin Hart and John Leguizamo. It also includes Ice Cube (who makes a valiant attempt at acting) and Laurence Fishburne. While very funny, this movie in no way shape or form passes the Bechdel Test. Expecting it to be anything but a action movie glorifying the work of the NYPD will be a disappointment to the viewer. Yet, with that mindset, "Ride Along" is a good time.

Ben Barber (Hart) is a sweet but goofy high school security guard who has been accepted into the police academy. In an attempt to show hard-edge detective James his ability to care for James’ sister, Ben goes on a ride-along with James to prove himself. Predictably, events do not turn out as expected. Amid gunshots and explosions, they learn from each other that people can change and that bro-love is more than skin deep.

BLU-Ray exclusives include an alternate ending (!), deleted scenes, "Kev & Cubes Wild Ride," "Anatomy of the Big Blast" a mini-documentary taking you into the biggest explosion in the movie, "You Gonna Learn Today" a bit dedicated to the actors improv skills and "An Explosive Ride."

Additional features include a gag reel, commentary with director Tim Story, "Atlanta: The Character" a short exploring the city of Atlanta, and a mini-movie taken on the set on "Ride Along" called "It Was a Good Day."
