Liam Neeson’s latest action hero foray "Non-Stop" is a silly trifle that is entertaining, if a bit too familiar. Similar in vein to the Jodie Foster vehicle "Flight Plan," Neeson plays a troubled Air Marshall who is targeted by a terrorist on board. He has to figure out who he/she is before passengers start getting knocked off. The film also co-stars Julianne Moore in a small role, as well as recent Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and "Downton Abbey’s" Michelle Dockery. While the mystery is intriguing and director Juame Collet-Serra does keep you guessing, it really isn’t all that "thrilling." I mean, how much action can there be inside an airplane? It gets a bit far-fetched by the end and the final revelation seemed more like a switcheroo from a "Scooby Doo" episode than something cooked up for a major motion picture. That said, it’s fairly diverting and harmless fun for a night in on the couch.

If you are thinking of buying the Blu-ray, note that there are two measly extras that are each only about five minutes long and seem more promotional than a detailed behind-the-scenes look at the film.
