When the original "Men in Black" proved to be such a blockbuster, Sony Pictures made sure to keep the winning formula intact by retaining stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to helm the sequel, "Men in Black II," once again under the direction of Barry Sonnenfeld, and the 2002 film didn’t disappoint. Sony has re-released the sequel on Blu-ray™ and UltraViolet™ in anticipation of the May 25th release of "Men in Black III."

Fabulous Bonus Features make this release a must-have for sci-fi fans, including a insightful look at composer Danny Elfman’s ("Nightmare Before Christmas," "Edward Scissorhands") work on the movie, a thorough look at the creation of many of aliens both visually (through the work of effects-master Rick Baker) and through the development of each character. These informative features are highly educational and entertaining, as the viewer marvels at the casual yet professional atmosphere that was maintained during the making of "MiB II."

For those unfamiliar with the mega-films, the agents of "Men in Black" are responsible for all monitoring of alien activity on earth, or as they put it "protecting the earth from the scum of the universe." Smith and Jones once again lead a strong cast including Rip Torn, Tony Shalhoub ("Monk"), Johnny Knoxville ("Jackass") and Lara Flynn Boyle ("Twin Peaks").

The first two "Men in Black" films have established a high bar for creative values and a laughter-inducing script. The release of the next sequel will be telling as to whether they can continue and surpass the expectation.
