I Heart Jokes: Paula Tells Them in Boston

The mind of Paula Poundstone! "Never mind, mind you, let her speak her mind." Do you mind? What's on my mind? Paula Poundstone plays Boston and packages her latest comedy observations around what could be considered, a sort of "my mind is playing tricks on me" variety on "I Heart Jokes: Paula Tells Jokes in Boston" She took to the stage of the Wilbur Theatre on Apr. 19, 2012 and pontificated for the packed house. And, with the astounding and horrific "heroes and villains" Boston crisis having just unfolded and as triumphant as it thankfully was... Paula Poundstone wants, implores and simply asks you to smile as soon as you can, while she creates instant laughter on the CD.

It is laughter and a reminder that this is NOT about Boston and includes no beans and includes no Dunkin' Donuts' jokes etc. [Read disclaimer on CD]. As some of the best comedians do, she engages a few of her audience members in a one-on-one verbal and "noun" match, and creates utter hilarity. These moments are purely giggly-licious. Self-effacing, witty and biting with an observant concern as she elaborates on life itself, she takes absurdity to a new and analytical level.

"Paty wicked had" is just one example of her taking on a dictionary without the letter "r" in it. During other audio segments of her live performance, Poundstone dishes on the responsibility of having two teenagers with whom to deal, raise and love. Also, Paula has a 21-year old daughter to whom she offers guidance while totally being as honest and humorous as possible.

Let Paula Poundstone be your designated driver in "I Heart Jokes: Paula Tells Jokes in Boston." She might not get you where your destination lies yet the ride with her is definitely memorable.
