Here TV Premieres A World of Dreams :: Voices From the OUT100
Here TV (www.heretv.com), America’s only gay television network, today announced the television premiere of "A World of Dreams: Voices From the OUT100," presented by Buick. The original docu-special was produced in association with OUT magazine and was filmed as the publication compiled its 19th annual OUT100 issue, celebrating prominent LGBT figures that shaped 2013. A World of Dreams debuts this Friday, December 20, only on Here TV.
"’A World of Dreams’ is an exciting new feature-length documentary that brings to life an exciting group of OUT 100 Honorees. We are very proud to have profiles of these formidable people as part of the Here TV record of history," says Josh Rosenzweig, Here TV’s Senior Vice President of Original Programming and Development.
Directed by Athena Maroulis and written by Robbie Imes, "A World of Dreams: Voices From the OUT100" features commentary by OUT editors Aaron Hicklin, Jerry Portwood, and Jason Lamphier as well as this year’s OUT100 portfolio photographer, Danielle Levitt. The special features 2013 OUT100 honorees sharing personal stories and anecdotes about what it means to be honored by the publication as one of the most compelling people of the year.
Profiles showcased in A World of Dreams: Voices from the OUT100 include activist and OUT100 cover star Edie Windsor, Academy Award-winning writer and activist Dustin Lance Black, actress and 2013 OUT100 Readers’ Choice Award winner Laverne Cox, marriage equality activists and Proposition 8 plaintiffs Paul Katami & Jeff Zarrillo, actress and comedian Lea DeLaria, filmmaker John Krokidas, writer Choire Sicha, playwright Tarell McCraney, fashion designer Shayne Oliver, menswear model and artist Casey Legler, and mixed marital arts fighter Liz Carmouche.
