London’s Royal Opera House Streams to U.S. Theaters This Month

For the first time ever, Great Britain's world-renowned Royal Opera House (ROH) in collaboration with Arts Alliance Media is bringing its "Royal Opera House Live Cinema Season 2013-2014" to more than 500 cinemas in the U.S.

During this special in-cinema series, audiences will be able to step inside the famed Royal Opera House and experience the world's finest opera and ballet from the renowned, iconic Covent Garden stage. The series are must-attend events for fans of the ballet and opera and are also a great introduction for those experiencing it for the first time.


The "Royal Opera House Live Cinema Season" will debut with the ballet "Don Quixote" beginning on Wednesday, Oct. 16 at 7:00 p.m., local time in select theaters by NCM Fathom Events.

The remaining 2013 ballets are:

"ALICE'S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND" - Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 7:00p.m., local time

"THE NUTCRACKER" - Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013 at 7:00p.m., local time

The "Royal Opera House Live Cinema Season" will debut in select theaters by Screenvision with the opera Puccini’s "Turandot" on Thursday, Oct. 24 and then a matinee performance on Sunday, Oct. 27.

Verdi’s "LES VEPRES SICILENNES" - Dec. 5 and 8

Mozart’s "DON GIOVANI" - March 13 and 16

Verdi’s "NABUCCO" - Apr. 3 and 6

Verdi’s "LA TRAVIATA" - May 8 and 11

Puccini’s "MANON LESCAUT" - July 17 and 20
