New York City's transgender community is holding its 10th annual Day of Action.

The advocacy group GLAAD says a march and rally will be held in Manhattan on Friday afternoon.

Participants will decry violence and discrimination while celebrating strides made by the movement.

The march begins at 2 p.m. at the Christopher Street Pier.
