Everyone may be obsessed with "New Girl" but let’s not forget the old girl with the bone. Emily Deschanel plays the eponymous Dr. Temperance Brennan aka "Bones" for the seventh season of the hit Fox series, available on Blu-Ray.

This season may boast the consummation of a longstanding flirtation between Bones and Booth (David Boreanaz), but it only has thirteen episodes. To accommodate Deschanel’s real pregnancy the season was shortened. However, to not scrimp on the drama they have a season finale that is almost too dramatic to believe. This season proves to be as entertaining as the show has ever been despite eliminating the "will they or won’t they" sexual tension. With a baby in the mix, their relationship takes on a new and more complex tension.

This season proves to be as entertaining as the show has ever been despite eliminating the "will they or won’t they" sexual tension.

The Blu-Ray season includes a decent amount of bonus features considering the truncated season. There are only two deleted scenes, commentary on one episode and a gag reel. There are two bonus featurettes "Creating ’The Suit on the Set’" and "Bone of Contention: On the Red Carpet."

The featurettes aren’t that exciting. This isn’t the first episode they have set in Los Angeles and the Red Carpet is not the most exciting place for the home viewer. Ultimately, this set is best purchased to complete a collection than to enjoy the bonus features but still delivers some great television.
