Mickey Rooney Dies at 93

Mickey Rooney, a longtime actor who became a star box attraction in the 1930s and 1940s, has died at age 93, according to Variety and several other websites.

TMZ in reporting on Rooney’s death said he had been in ill health recently.

Rooney was nominated for four Academy Awards and received two special Oscars. The first was the Juvenile Award that she shared in 1939 with Deanna Durbin and one he received in 1983 for his body of work.
