A local talk show host for a Dallas news station walked off the set Tuesday morning after getting into a heated debate with her co-hosts over ESPN's coverage of Michael Sam kissing his boyfriend, Gawker reports.

Amy Kuchnir, who hosts Dallas' morning show "The Broadcast" (basically a low rent version of "The View") with three other women on KTXD, said that the iconic peck is "being pushed in faces" and spewed the classic Helen Lovejoy mantra "won't somebody please think of the children" before dashing off stage, effectively ending the debate.

"When parents do not have a choice about whether or not they want their children to see this, it is wrong," she said. "I don't call it a moment of celebration...It's being pushed in faces. I don't want to see that. I don't want to see cake in your face, kissing each other."

During the debate, Kuchnir co-host Courtney Kerr did her best to defend Sam's kiss and said that those who are upset over the kiss are "racist toward homosexuals." Another co-host, Suzie Humphreys, who looked like she was over it from the get-go, sided with Kuchnir and said she is frustrated that she can't vocalize her problems with gay people without being called a bigot. Humphreys also somehow linked Twitter and Facebook to LGBT equality, saying gay acceptance "all has to do with social media, the whole thing."

What’s going to happen to the children you miserable cunt!? It was just a kiss between two adults.

Sure you can say what ever you want, just as the Clippers owner! And if straight people don’t want gays "putting it in their faces"... They should take their own advise and stop putting their "straight lifestyle" our faces. We are just as sick of seeing them kiss, hold hands and hug.

The reason, sweetie, that you can’t share your "problems with gays" without being called a bigot, is because having or revealing an obstinate belief in the superiority of one’s own opinions and a prejudiced intolerance of the opinions of others is the definition of bigoted. That clear it up for you?

This woman is actually paid a salary and is on TV? I love M Rainbow’s statement. That fact that this woman doesn’t want to see it or thinks it is being pushed in peoples faces, wow, now imagine a gay person feeling the same way. Anyways, the more this happens and the more we don’t allow it to continue in the media the more people will get that they need change their way of thinking. What are these people thinking? Thank you anonymous, you said it perfectly... I don’t know who you are but I love you.

She should stay gone and take the red dyed hag with her. The lady on the end you are exactly right there would be no issue if it was a woman in addition good luck blindfolding the kids when you go outside. It’s time to realize that this ridiculous reaction makes it seem like something’s wrong with the lifestyle that people lead while contradicting yourself with lies about how it doesn’t bother you. Obviously you have a bigoted view or you wouldn’t have walked out because only the hag agreed with you. Get it through your head there is nothing wrong or shameful in expressing your joy or happiness with those you love. American rights extend to ALL Americans I don’t want to see your hideous visage I don’t watch your show

So, children see two men who care for and love each other kissing. What is the problem? It is far better to see people loving and kissing each other than the normal rounds of anger and sickening violence that were fed each day - although I have the good sense to shut off the television when such violence is on TV. If Ms. Kushnir does not like to see two men kissing, then all she and others like her have to do is shut off the television.

sjenner: Very astute and succinctly put. Sorry, but as an English teacher I have to correct your use of "it’s". It should be "its". I wouldn’t want grammatical errors to mar your otherwise sharp commentary.
