ATHENS, Greece (AP) - Police say about 50 people threw eggs and plastic bottles of water at about 400 people holding a gay pride parade in the northern Greek city of Thessaloniki.

Police moved in to restrict the attackers on Saturday, but no injuries were reported.

In recent days, Anthimos, the senior Greek Orthodox cleric in Thessaloniki, had publicly criticized the planned gay pride parade. Anthimos, who only uses one name, is known for outspoken speeches on social and political issues.

An annual gay pride rally is annually held in Athens, the Greek capital, and normally occurs without incident.

Just glad nobody was hurt. Isn’t Greece the original butt-fuck capitol of the world? You’d think they’d be a little more...er...receptive to alternate lifestyles. Lol.

Well, I’m going to overlook this poor judgement this one time since no one was hurt. I love gyros and tzatziki and sexy Greek men with hairy butts. They need to cut back on the cologne, but its better than b.o. I guess. Hope you had a nice pride celebration anyway.

Greece had the original gay man. The first place in history to have gay rights for males. Sparta had most of its warriors raped by their trainers and then they became gay men themselves. History!!!
