A California pornography entrepreneur announced production on "Put it in Putin," the second title for Boys Town Studios, the first ever non-profit porn operation that will produce and distribute gay pornos then donate 100 percent of the proceeds to LGBT charities. Profits from the Putin based porn have been earmarked to help Gay Russian refugees seeking asylum in other countries.

As announced in a press release posted on Adult Video News, Mike Kulich, owner of Monarchy Distribution, which operates numerous straight mainstream and niche porn studios, launched Boys Town Studios in early August. One hundred percent of all profits made from cable, VOD and DVD sales will be donated to charities and individuals that give back to the LGBT communities or need some sort of financial aid.

AVN reports, "Put it in Putin" is exactly what it sounds like. The synopsis is Putin grows up behind the red curtain and has to spend his whole childhood hiding who he really is. As he slowly climbs the ranks in the Russian military, he meets a Lieutenant in the Red Army named Alexander. They become best friends and once Putin is thrust into power, Alexander becomes his personal bodyguard. One day while both men are riding through Siberia on horseback, Alexander finally makes his move and the rest is history.

According to Kulich, "Put it in Putin" will be "a love story for the ages. It's like Brokeback Mountain meets Communism." adding, "If you don't hear from me, the KGB got me."

As reported in New York Magazine, Kulich's Monarchy Distribution has about fifteen different studios that make adult films for a variety of tastes that include straight, lesbian, transsexual and interracial. Boys Town Studios is Monarchy's first foray into gay porn.

"I started reading about what's happening now to gay people in Russia; it seemed like what happened to my parents." Kulich said in a New York Magazine interview. "I'm first-generation American. My parents fled to escape communism and anti-Semitism. So I didn't want to see history repeated, I wanted to try to help. And the only way I know how is by making porn!"

Pornographic philanthropy is not new to Kulich. VOD (video on demand) profits from his transsexual titles have been donated to the Center for Transgender Equality.
