Live Montréal's Electrifying LGBT Fun!

READ TIME: 2 MIN.

All that sun, all that fun-we are so primed for another Montral summer! With dance, music opera, joie de vivre and major outdoor happenings, the city offers excellent choices for LGBT travellers. Here's a peek why Montral needs to be on your summer radar.

SEE

Cirque du Soleil is back at it again, wowing its way into our hearts with "Luzia" under the big top in the Old Port. This new touring show, which kicks off here, treats spectators to music, colour and magic of Mexico. The sartorial set, for their part, will love the Eleganza exhibition at McCord Museum, which showcases designs of the most celebrated Italian designers from 1945 to present.

HEAR

What better than a city like Montral and the Opra de Montral for a world premiere of the opera adaptation of "Les Feluettes," the award-winning play and movie ("Lilies")? This sung story of a gay love triangle involving a Catholic bishop promises to be moving. On another note, be it soul, pop, rock or disco-we've got an excellent line-up of divas bringing it in 2016! Cline Dion, Adele, Rihanna and many others will set our hearts afire with their powerful pipes and moving lyrics.

CELEBRATE

Montral Pride will have The Village bubbling with its legendary fun and colour, with parties, community events, cultural events and signature pink ball canopy. Expect tons of sass and lots of laughs when seven contestants from RuPaul's Drag race grace our Montral stages - a first-ever! And Montral is getting primed for Canada Pride Montral 2017, the first edition of a country-wide LGBT festival, as part of Montral's 375th anniversary celebrations.

DANCE

Shake it under the sun, shake it under the stars, shake it to electronic. Dance your pants off at Piknic lectronik, everybody's favourite weekend get-down at Parc Jean-Drapeau, which offers an immersive, family-friendly environment. Our summer music must-list also includes leSoniq, the August electronic music festival that makes for excellent moving and grooving.

EAT

Montral is a total foodie city and summer offers even more reason to fall in love with the city's culinary goodness. Combining the art of eating and people-watching, the terrasses of The Village offer a sublime pastime and palate-pleaser. For gourmets on the go, Montral's food trucks offer a handy and delicious alternative-curb-side dining has never been tastier!
