Sugar Art and Fashion Show Takes On Boston, Philly
Embarking on their second national tour, Mad Girl Productions arrives in Boston for the first time to present Sugar Does Boston, a night of collective artistry supporting emerging and underground female talent.
The June 19 event will feature a wide array of art all under one roof including music, fashion, photography, visual and graffiti. Founded by fashion and jewelry designer, Timmery Turner, Sugar Does Boston, offers up-and-coming designers, photographers, artists and musicians an opportunity to showcase their work through an innovative and edgy platform.
A graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, Turner quickly dove into the underground art and fashion scene.
"My main objective is to give emerging artists and talent the opportunities I was never presented, in a way that is attention catching and memorable," says Turner. "I want to encourage entrepreneurship and art as a business. It can be done, and it is possible. "
With a photography and art showcase, interactive art performances live musical performances, a fashion show celebrating local designers, unique vendors and more, Sugar Does Boston fuses an underground attitude with mainstream ambition. The event also gives emerging talent an opportunity to showcase their art, network with other artists and industry professionals, create brand awareness, and profit from their work.
