Kathy Griffin took to Twitter Thursday to reveal she has been hospitalized "after showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms" of what she believes is from the new coronavirus. But, in the same tweet, the comedian wrote that she cannot get tested for COVID-19 and called out President Donald Trump.

Griffin, 59, quote-tweeted the president, who recently wrote: "Just reported that the United States has done far more "testing" than any other nation, by far! In fact, over an eight-day span, the United States now does more testing than what South Korea (which has been a very successful tester) does over an eight-week span. Great job!"

Including a photo of herself in the hospital, Griffin added her own response to Trump's message.

"He's lying. I was sent to the #COVID19 isolation ward room in a major hospital ER from a separate urgent care facility after showing UNBEARABLY PAINFUL symptoms," she tweeted. "The hospital couldn't test me for #coronavirus because of CDC (Pence task force) restrictions. #TESTTESTTEST."

Griffin included two photos, one that shows her hospital room and another of herself in the hospital bed with what looks like a mask covering her face.

As of this writing, the "My Life on the D-List" star has yet to offer any further updates on her condition.

Griffin notoriously made headlines in 2017 when she shared a satirical photo of herself holding a severed head resembling Trump. It lead to a backlash against Griffin, with Trump calling out the comedian and even a federal investigation.

Should Griffin offer an update, this article will be edited to reflect that.
