Only In Florida: Ballet Beauty Beats Beau in Dispute Over Sex Toys, Laptop

Thursday Dec 7, 2017

This nutcracker is anything but sweet.

A Florida dance instructor traded her ballet barre for jail bars last month after she allegedly struck her boyfriend over a fight about sex toys and a laptop.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by The Smoking Gun, Lindsay Hensley-Clark struck her boyfriend Chad Scerbo in the face.

"During an altercation over sex toys and a laptop, Lindsay and Chad got into a verbal argument," a sheriff's deputy reported. "During that argument, Lindsay admitted to slapping Chad as she was upset over what Chad had said."

Hensley-Clark, was taken into custody by police, charged with battery and dating violence, and held for 12 hours before being released on her on recognizance.

At a court hearing prior to her release, Hensley-Clark pleaded not guilty the battery charge.

The judge issued an order allowing Hensley-Clark to maintain contact with Scerbo, but things should prove to be awkward at work for them in the coming days. Hensley-Clark is artistic director of the Tampa Ballet Theatre, for which Scerbo is marketing advisor.
