Moving Note Written by Little Brother of Gay Man Goes Viral on Twitter

Thursday Sep 13, 2018

A Twitter user named Erick Endres took to the social media platform this week to share a moving handwritten note from his little brother, who offered him support and acceptance for being gay. The message has since gone viral.

"I have something incredibly humbling to share with you," Endres wrote to his 5,000 followers. "Earlier today, I came home from work, and found a card in an envelope placed on top of my pillow with my name. Inside the envelope was a card/letter handwritten by my youngest brother. He knows and accepts me."

The note reads:

"Erick, I just want you to know that I love you. We don't have time in this life to be sad or hide who we really are because before you know it, it could be too late. Love whoever you want, just love hard, I support and will support you in any way possible. I know we're not the closest, but I just wanna let you know that I know and I don't care because it doesn't change you as a person. So if you ever need to get anything off your chest, I'm right here. You don't have to find your identity alone! I love, I care, and I support you, Erick. Love, Sean"

The heartwarming message has since gone viral and as of this writing, Endres' tweet has earned nearly 5,500 likes and over 600 retweets.

After gaining attention, Endres offered another tweet, thanking for people for their support and positivity.

"I can't believe this tweet has blown up! I'm incredibly humbled for all the love and support I've received from not only my brother, but the people that have liked and shared this," he wrote. "I felt that I had to share it because maybe I can help someone who has been struggling like I have."

Give me a break. It’s the 21st century and I’m a little tired of these "I love you no matter." If you don’t love me your loss. Get over it.
