Caitlyn Jenner Responds to Trump's Trans Military Ban, Twitter Claps Back

Wednesday Jul 26, 2017

Caitlyn Jenner responded to President Donald Trump's announcement that transgender people will not be allowed to serve in the U.S. military "in any capacity."

Instead of responding directly to Trump's recent message, which he made on Twitter, Jenner retweeted the a tweet from 2016 where he said he'd fight for the LGBT community as president. The reality star added her own message, writing, "There are 15,000 patriotic transgender Americans in the US military fighting for all of us. What happened to your promise to fight for them?"

Nevertheless, a number of Twitter users called out Jenner's response to Trump.

Jenner, who has been vocal about politics and being a Republican, made headlines earlier his year when she claimed she was working "behind the scenes" with members of the Trump administration and other GOPers on LGBT issues. She also said that she's considering a political career, debating if she should run for the Senate in California.
