Two drag queens went at it during a beauty pageant in Tarapoto, Peru, a city with a population of about 144,000, which is an hour plane ride from Lima.

Reuters reports that the runner up in the Miss Gay San Juan 2013 competition attacked the winner of the contest on Wednesday. According to the U.K.'s Mirror, the outburst was a result of the judges announcing the wrong winner at the event.

Regardless of the reason, wigs came off and hoop earrings needed to be held as these two ladies tore at each other.

The Mirror also reports that audience members were so entranced by the sudden fight between the fierce queens, it reportedly took security "some time to separate the sparring contestants," the newspaper writes.
