Colin Firth (an Oscar winning turn in "The King's Speech") and Stanley Tucci ("Spotlight") will star in "Supernova" as a gay couple traveling in an RV through England, reminiscing and visiting friends, Variety reports.

In the film, Sam (Firth) and Tusker (Tucci) are a gay couple of twenty years, contending with Tusker's early-onset dementia. Through visiting friends and favorite place, the couple hope to reconnect with their past, but also find their relationship profoundly put to the test by Tusker's illness. They ultimately face the question of what it means to truly love and be committed to another person.

"Supernova" is written and directed by British filmmaker Harry Macqueen (2014's "Hinterland"), and will world premiere at the San SebastiŠn International Film Festival on September 24, and in the U.K at the BFI London Film Festival on October 11.
