Recognized as one of our generation's most formidable human rights activists, Peter Tatchell has been at the forefront of LGBTQ issues for more than 50 years. A new documentary, "Hating Peter Tatchell," tells the profound life story of the controversial human rights campaigner whose provocative acts of civil disobedience rocked the British establishment, revolutionized attitudes to homosexuality and exposed tyrants in the fight for equality.

Dubbed "the most hated man in Britain," Tatchell has taken on the British parliament through his involvement with LGBTQ rights direct action group OutRage!, confronted everyone from former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher to heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson, and orchestrated a protest at the FIFA World Cup in Moscow to draw attention to the atrocities in Chechnya.

Tatchell joins EDGE senior editor Matthew Wexler for a revealing conversation about his lifelong commitment to human rights and activism and what actionable steps the LGBTQ community and our allies can take to advocate for global change.
