In a recent episode of "Table Manners with Jessie Ware," pop superstar and gay icon Kylie Minogue revealed she used to go to Kylie Nights at gay bars in Sydney.

It was in the early 1990s when the Australian pop singer discovered that Kylie nights were a thing at Oxford Street gay clubs. Having attended, Minogue jokingly said "I am the least Kylie of all the Kylies, it's hilarious... there's a picture of us, four Kylies — big Kylies — and then me, who just looks like I shouldn't be there."

At the start of her career, Minogue explains, the gay community naturally gravitated toward her — "it's been an organic love affair ever since." In turn, the singer has advocated on behalf of the LGBTQ community. When asked in 2018 about her status as a gay icon, Minogue responded by saying "it feels great... but more importantly to me it feels natural." The community has continued to have Minogue's back, and she feels it: "I think they felt a bit protective of me. There's no judgment — just support."

Minogue's much-anticipated new album, "Disco," arrives November 6.
