Madonna's latest update from her self-isolation is sparking online controversy.

In a video she shared with Twitter Sunday, Madonna, seen naked while sitting inside a bathtub, told her fans that the coronavirus is 'the great equalizer."

"That's the thing about Covid-19," she says as soft music in the background plays. "It doesn't care about how rich you are, how famous you are, how funny you are, how smart you are, where you live, how old you are, what amazing stories you can tell."

"It's the great equalizer and what's terrible about it is what's great about it," Madonna, 61, continues, adding that "what's terrible about it is that it's made us all equal in many ways -- and what's wonderful about it is that it's made us all equal in many ways."

As of this writing, more than 360,000 people around the world have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and, according to an estimate from the United Nations labor agency, the pandemic could result up to 24.7 million Americans losing their jobs.

A number of Twitter users took issue with Madonna's video message. Find the reactions and responses below as well as the pop star's clip.
