Watch: Colton Underwood's Netflix Series About Coming Out Gets Trailer
Netflix is sharing the first trailer for its upcoming series "Coming Out Colton," which follows "Bachelor" star Colton Underwood during his coming out journey and hits the streamer on Dec. 3.
The six-episode show will track the athlete and reality star as he "embarks on a journey of self-discovery coming out as a gay man, including addressing his past and embracing his place in the LGBTQ community," Netflix writes of the show.
"I didn't want to be gay and the main voices in my head were telling me, 'You'll get through this,'" Underwood says in the trailer.
He also addresses his ex-girlfriend Cassie Randolph, who he met while on the "Bachelor." After a break up, Randolph filed a restraining order against him for allegedly sending disturbing text messages to her and putting a tracking device on her car.
"I put a poor girl through a hell of my own insecurities," Underwood says in the trailer.
Olympic champ Gus Kenworthy also appears in the series, serving as a guide and mentor to Underwood as he explores the gay world. Out football player Michael Sam also appears.
"Everybody's coming out stories are different. And I'm grateful to be able to add my story to the conversation," he says at the end of the clip.
