Cher Claps Back At Haters Over Toy Boy Alexander Edwards
Cher might be in love with her much younger toy boy, but she is making it clear that she is no fool in love. After revealing a romance with 36-year-old music executive Alexander "AE" Edwards, the superstar is standing by her decision to take on a lover.
As reported by People, when Cher was spotted holding hands with Edwards, the internet went wild with speculation that she had a new beaux. Then she confirmed the relationship and spit a few gems about love between two grown people in the process.
"LOVE DOESN'T KNOW MATH, IT SEES ❤️ ❤️," she said in a since-deleted tweet.
"Rinpoche told me, 'Some people meet, others recognize,' " Cher wrote, referring to Tibetan Buddhist teacher and best-selling author Sogyal Rinpoche who died in 2019.
The legendary entertainer then tweeted a photo of Alexander with a simple heart caption.
Cher and Alexander reportedly met during Paris Fashion Week after she closed out the Balmain show. Alexander was previously in a three-year relationship with Rose that reportedly fizzled because of his cheating.
Alexander took to social media to cop to his ways cheating ways and admitted that the way he loves.
When fans made sure Cher caught wind of his cheating past, Cher set the record straight by saying: "BABE ENGLISH IS MY FIRST LANGUAGE," she told one follower, in a deleted tweet captured by the Shade Room. "I'M IN ❤️ NOT BLINDED BY IT. KNOW WHAT I KNOW ... SMOKE DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN 🔥."
She added, "As we all know ... I WASN'T BORN YESTERDAY. What I know for sure, there are no guarantees. Anytime you make a choice, you take a chance. I've always taken chances ... it's who I am."
In a follow up tweet, she shared: "I'm not defending us. Haters are gonna hate ... Doesn't matter that we're happy and not bothering anyone."
Now that is how a legend dates a younger man.
