EDGE is reaching into its archive and sharing some of our favorite stories from the past.

When the mugshot of British boxer Robert Rimmer was posted on the Internet, he got a lot of attention but none of it has helped police locate the 36 year old on drug-related charges. Instead, Rimmer (his real name) is the focus of swooning fans.

"Officers are keen to speak to him in connection with an ongoing investigation into drugs-related offences in our area," wrote the Humberside Police. "If you see him, or know where he is, please do not approach him but instead call us immediately on our non-emergency 101 line quoting investigation reference 20900368291. If you would prefer to report information anonymously you can do so via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."

But the police soon learned that many were more interested in catching up with Rimmer for their own purposes. "Many said they want to find the man before the police and that they would not mind finding him first.  One woman wrote: "I wouldn't mind approaching him' and another wrote: 'So... handsome, gym bod and his own business? Haha." Another said, "If I find him can I keep him finders keepers and all." A third quipped: He can come hide in my house no problem' while another Facebook user wrote: "If I see him. I won't let you know." While a fourth wrote: "'Wanted: yes indeed. Oooft!' while another offered her services to the police, saying: 'I'd help look for him.'"

But perhaps they should heed the police warning given his violent past: "On November 30, 2006, he used a fish knife to stab Wallwork seven times in the hand, back and stomach while Wallwork was on a night out with Broadbent at the Sugar Lounge night club in Manchester.," reported the website Conan Daily. Early that December he handed himself into a police station in Manchester. On December 21, 2007, he was sentenced to five and a half years in prison for stabbing Wallwork.
