Colo. Landlord Pleads Guilty to Using Tenant's Home as Secret Gay Hookup Spot

Tuesday August 1, 2017

A landlord from Colorado Springs, Colo. pleaded guilty to using his tenants' apartment as a secret hookup spot where he would have sex with men when they weren't home, the U.K. Metro reports.

Carlos Quijada-Lara, 39, pleaded guilty to criminal trespassing and misdemeanor obscenity after he was caught in the home of Logan Pierce and Mikaela DiGiulio, who set up security cameras when they suspected someone had been in their home while they were out.

Quijada-Lara activated the camera one day last November when he entered the room with another man, sending an alert to Pierce's phone. He then checked into the live feed and saw his landlord having sex with the man on his bed.

Pierce said they had sex for six minutes before the landlord's partner was seen wiping his penis on the couple's wedding dress. The couple, who pay $1,100 in rent, married in March 2016 and have since moved out of the apartment.

Quijada-Lara will be sentenced on Sept. 22, according to the Metro.
