Watch: James Corden Musically Blasts Trump Transgender Troop Ban to 'L-O-V-E'

Thursday July 27, 2017

In the classiest manner possible, late night host James Corden took on President Trump's tweeted ban on transgender service members in the military.

Decked out in top hat and armed with some cleverly rewritten lyrics to the Nat King Cole classic "L-O-V-E," Corden offered support for the transgender men and women who wear the uniform in defense of the country while blasting the president's lack of logic and embrace of bigotry.

Corden sang:

"L - he doesn't care for lesbians.
G - he thinks two men should just be friends.
B - to his dumb knowledge, is just a phase in college.
T - he finds confusing so the army's now refusing trans women who only want to serve, trans men who only want rights we all deserve."

Corden's musical tribute aired on the same episode where he blasted the president for avoiding military service in Vietnam due to a "foot injury."
