Man Who Spent $100K to Look Like Bieber is Missing
A man who spent $100,000 on plastic surgery to look like pop star hunk Justin Bieber, and who was also featured on the reality TV series "Botched," has been reported missing in Los Angeles county, the Daily Mail reports.
Tobias Strebel, 35, was last seen on Aug. 18 in West Hollywood, Calif. and may have been driving a 2009 Toyota Camry. Streble's friend Mel Espinoza spoke about his disappearance with local news station KABC-TV.
"This is very unusual for him to go missing," Espinoza said. "He hasn't done any, not shown up for no reason, no note or anything."
The Los Angeles Police Department did not respond to a request from the New York Daily News for updates on the reality TV star.
Strebel appeared in an episode of E!'s plastic surgery reality series "Botched" last year where he revealed he spent thousands of dollars to look like Bieber.
"What brought me to Bieber was the whole package: the full cheeks, the full temples, the bright open eyes, the full luscious lips, and spatial framing ... [he's] just extraordinarily beautiful," he said on the show, according to Us Weekly.
The NYDN points out Strebel was a member of a trio for a song called "The Plastics" where he identifies himself as "Justin no. 2" in the music video.
"A Belieber from day one, couldn't take what age had done, watched Justin's videos, imitated how he posed," he sings. "Jealous of his perfect face, wished I could take his place. Docs made my dream come true, now I'm Justin no. 2."
Anyone with information regarding Strebel should contact the Los Angeles Police Department at 213-972-2976.
