The anti-LGBT and ultra conservative Linda Harvey of Mission America, condemned the transgender rights movement during her radio program Wednesday, specifically targeting actress and trans advocate Laverne Cox who appeared on the cover of Time magazine last month.

According to Right Wing Watch, Harvey believes that Satan is responsible for Cox and her efforts to promote transgender rights.

"I think America is quickly moving into chaotic territory where we are blessing and approving behaviors that so completely defy reality and the will of God that the consequences will be devastating, especially to kids," she said.

She added: "If Satan were to devise a strategy to confuse and undermine the moral base of America, he could not have chosen a better vehicle than pushing gender confusion, which is just the latest offshoot of the homosexual movement."

Harvey also took issue with the upcoming appearance of a transgender priest at the National Cathedral, saying it was another attack against Christianity by "this diabolical homosexual and transgender movement."

"It's spiritual deception on a wide scale and is breathtaking to watch," she said.

Cox made headlines last month when she graced the cover of Time magazine, even though she was excluded from the publications Top 100 Most Influential People in April.

"What a wonderful bday present!," said Cox on her Facebook page. "Yes today is my birthday and I am on the cover of @TIME magazine. I realize this is way bigger than me and about a tipping point in our nation's history where it is no longer acceptable for trans lives to be stigmatized, ridiculed, criminalized and disregarded. This is for my trans siblings out there and for anyone who has ever been told that who you know yourself to be at your core is not legitimate. You are who you know yourselves to be."
