Watch: 'Project Runway' Designer Uses Viral Moment to Support LGBTQ Organization

Tuesday January 7, 2020

A "Project Runway" contestant who recently went viral for calling out the competition show's host model Karlie Kloss over her connection with the Kushner family is turning his moment into t-shirts, which will help profit an LGBTQ organization, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Tyler Neasloney, who was kicked off the show, went viral for a clip in which he was being critiqued for a look he made. Judge Brandon Maxwell told Neasloney that he "cannot see Karlie wearing" the outfit he designed "anywhere."

"Not even to dinner with the Kushners?" the designer responded.

The reaction shows fellow designers groaning and Kloss herself opening her mouth in shock.

Kloss is married to Josh Kushner, the brother of Jared Kushner, a presidential aide to Donald Trump and husband of Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump.

Neasloney is turning his quip "not even dinner to the Kushners?" into t-shirts, noting that 50% of proceeds will benefit the organization the Ali Forney Center, which helps LGBTQ homeless youth. Each shirt costs $35.
