Those pesky gays are only waiting for straight guys everywhere to don the super-skinny trousers created by "homosexual" clothing designers hot to gawk at hunky dudes.

That's the take-away from a warning issued recently by a Jehovah's Witnesses bigwig, reported in a Nov. 10 post.

Critiquing the "metrosexual" style during to course of a sermon delivered on Nov. 8, Anthony Morris III, described in the article as "a senior member of the Church's [sic] leadership," declared, "What's happened now is that it's really caught on more -- the tight suit jacket and the tight pants. Better known as tight pants. They are tight all the way down to the ankles. It's not appropriate. It's not sound of mind."

Morris went on to intone this dire warning: "Like I've been telling others - and this is a fact - the homosexuals that are designing these clothes, they like you in tight pants! That's who likes it. Not spiritual people."

Morris had enough fashion prurience to go around for everyone, extending his condemnation to female attire -- specifically, spanx, the Pink News article noted.

"Look at the verse," the post quoted Morris as saying. "Is that appropriate to wear skin tight spanx or whatever they call it?" The church leader framed his comments in terms of skin-tight attire not being "modest" or "sound of mind," but he did not specify what sort of burqa or other clothing would be suitable for women to wear in public.

Morris, who is part of the denomination's Governing Body, suggested that it's clothes that make the devout, going on to say, "Now you want to be in your home or your room and wear that stuff that's your business." However, he added, "don't go out like that and say you worship the true God."

News outlets around the Internet reported on Morris' belaboring of the fashion industry's putatively seamy tactics, with multiple sites posting a YouTube audio clip of his Nov. 8 comments.

Newsmax picked up on the story in a Nov. 13 article that recalled how, according to , Morris had made similar broadsides against the "metrosexual" look last summer, saying in July, "Do you remember that many, many, many homosexuals are in the clothing industry and doing the designing?"

As in the more recent statement, Morris assigned -- or projected, the Newsmax article insinuated -- a sexual motivation on the part of gay clothing designers: "Don't you know they love it when you're wearing tight pants?" he asked.

Those listening to the sermon tittered at various points during the sermon, with waves of laughter greeting his pronouncements as though the sermon were a stand-up routine. Morris interjected, "Oh yeah, you chuckle. I don't think it's funny. I think it's disgusting."
