David Arquette, Courteney Cox React to Alexis Arquette's Death

Several stars are reacting to the death of Alexis Arquette, the transgender actress best known for her role in "The Wedding Singer," who died Sunday morning at age 47.

Among the celebs are David Arquette, Alexis' brother, and Courteney Cox, who was married to David for 14.

After retweeting Boy George's message to Alexis, David offered his own thoughts on his sister's passing.


Cox also tweeted:

Alexis' brother Richmond Arquette confirmed the actress' death on Facebook Sunday morning, writing:

"Our brother Robert, who became our brother Alexis, who became our sister Alexis, who became our brother Alexis, passed this morning September 11, at 12:32 am. He was surrounded by all of his brothers and sisters, one of his nieces and several other loved ones. We were playing music for him and he passed during David Bowie's 'Starman.' As per his wishes, we cheered at the moment that he transitioned to another dimension."

Alexis' cause of death has not been revealed.
