Kellie Maloney Launches Mediterranean Transgender Cruise
READ TIME: 2 MIN.
Transgender celebrity Kellie Maloney will join Europe's first hosted transgender group holiday on a Mediterranean cruise which starts in Venice and visits Dubrovnik, Athens, Santorini, and Ravenna.
The 7-night cruise in June 2017 will be on board Norwegian Star and will include "closed door" events for the group including inspirational talks from those who have also been through the same journey of transitioning.
There will also be the opportunity to join master classes from both Kellie Maloney and newsreader Sophie Cook in makeup, fitness, and photography during the cruise.
"This cruise is open to the whole world. It'll be a great opportunity to mix and to get to know each other. We'll discuss the problems we've been through, our joy and our happiness," said Maloney. "This cruise will be about having fun. After we've drunk the bar dry there will be fitness classes for those getting up early. I'm really looking forward to it."
Founder of OutOfOffice.com, Darren Burn, said, "This is a great opportunity for the trans community to come together to meet those who have shared similar journeys. At OutOfOffice.com we're proud to be selling trips like this as well as tailor-making luxury itineraries for our customers to places as diverse as the Maldives, the Galapagos, and the Far East."
Maloney will speak about her experiences growing up as a boy in the 1950s and the pressures she faced in a very heterosexual and homophobic world of boxing and how she steered one of the world's most famous heavyweight boxers to victory while coming to terms with her own personal and life-changing experiences. Guests will hear as Kellie talks openly and honestly about her very public transition from Frank to Kellie.
