Out YouTube Star Tyler Oakley Among Top 5 Highest-Paid on Service

Openly gay YouTube star Tyler Oakley is the fifth highest-paid personality on the video sharing service, according to a new report from Frobes.
According to the publication, Oakley, age 27, earned $6 million. "The Amazing Race" star also has a bestseller called "Binge" after singing with Ellen DeGeneres' production company.
"[YouTube] is a place for people from all over the world to feel less alone. When I was younger and still in the closet, I couldn't just google 'coming out story' to help me articulate what I was going through," Oakley told Forbes. "Now, there are tens of thousands of first-person accounts that could help people make sense of their identities."
Placing at the no. 1 spot on the list is Pewdiepie, a video game vlogger, who earned $15 million.
