Tom Daley & Dustin Lance Black Get Married, Share Pics

U.K. Olympic diver Tom Daley and Oscar-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black tied the knot Saturday at Bovey Castle in Devon, England, the BBC reports.

The men were married in front of 120 of their closest friends and family members and the ceremony was held just 30 miles from Daley's hometown of Plymouth. Brooke Graddon, a diver and friend of Daley, told the BBC the wedding was "full of love and happiness."

"He's been through so many hard times in his life it's so nice that he's had his happy ending," she said. "The wedding was brilliant - it was so much fun. It's so nice seeing him happy."

Graddon, who has been friends with Daley since they were kids, added the athlete "didn't start sorting out his wedding until January/February..."

"Obviously, the location was incredible but everything else was really relaxed, it was just so normal," she told the BBC.

Daley and Black both shared photos of their wedding on Instagram. The diver wrote he "married the love of my life" on May 6, adding: "Thank you to everyone who made this weekend the most special weekend of our lives!"

Black captioned a photo of the couple: "When all my hopes and dreams of 'Maybe one day...' came true. Thanks to all of our family and friends for helping create the best day of our lives."

The couple announced their engagement in 2015 and began dating in 2013, People magazine points out.

Daley, 22, and Black, 42, have had a public relationship and often discussed their dating life with the media. Earlier this year, the men were subjects of U.K. tabloids when it was reported Daley allegedly had a fling with a male model while Black was working on his LGBTQ miniseries "When We Rise."

During the tabloid coverage, the men opened up about their relationship and plans for the future.

"Me and Lance after working through that distance through the amount of time we've been together, sometimes it takes something like a little bit of time apart to realize how fond you are of each other," Daley told The Sun. "That's why we've been enjoying planning our wedding so much in the last few weeks."

Speaking with Out magazine in 2016, Black discussed starting a family with Daley.

"We were so busy making all these plans - we both wanted to have children; we both wanted to build a home of our own someday," he said at the time. "I draw, so I was sketching little plans for houses on cliffs overlooking oceans, while Tom watched over my shoulder - it was a very grown-up version of playing house.

"Marriage is the foundation to all of these other big plans we have. So we knew we were going to get engaged - it was just a matter of when, and who does it," Black added to Out.
