What's worse than finding out that a photo of you was used for someone else's well-publicized Ashley Madison profile pic? Maybe having your entire online hook-up history made public on top of a $25,000 fine.
According to Blasting News, details have emerged in the case filed against Josh Duggar by Matt McCarthy, a Los Angeles DJ who claims Duggar used his photo for his OK Cupid and Ashley Madison Account profile image without his consent.
It's been almost two years since the hack of cheater's website Ashley Madison made former reality star and anti-gay hate group mouthpiece Josh Duggar's marital infidelity front page news, and the dust has yet to settle completely. And while his wife may have forgiven him for cheating and his sister may have turned the other cheek to being molested by him, DJ Matt McCarthy of Los Angeles still has a score to settle.
McCarthy is seeking $25,000 in damages. According to The Stir, the DJ found out his photo was being used by Duggar when he was tipped off by his high school teacher who found it online. Moreover, his lawyer plans to show the extent to which Duggar harmed McCarthy's career by obtaining the names of the women who Duggar made an online connection with by using the bogus profile pic.
McCarthy is asserting that his life was turned upside down as a result of the scandal He claims he's been given nicknames like "Duggar's Boy Toy" and "DJ Duggar." Ironically, the unknown DJ is claiming that the photo has done "irreparable harm to his business and reputation." What reputation?
Duggar's lawyer's efforts to have the matter settled out of court have been unsuccessful.
The pair will meet in court on June 22.
