READ TIME: 2 MIN.

The Avalanches continue their North American live tour this week with dates in Toronto and Montreal. They return to the U.S. next Monday for a Boston date at Royale. (For more information, visit the Avalanches' website.)

The Avalanches' first set at Coachella was hailed as one of the 10 best performances by the Los Angeles Times, which observed, "Not many acts can use Coachella's gigantic platform to make its debut in the U.S. But that's just what the Avalanches did when the reclusive Australian outfit...brought its jubilant disco-pop to a tightly packed Mojave tent."

Rolling Stone named The Avalanches as one of the "15 Best Things" at Coachella's second weekend, observing, "[The Avalanches] sent the crowd bouncing from their first moments behind their instruments and sequencers...They were joined by a pair of charismatic vocalists." USA Today said, "One of the most energetic responses of the day was to the Avalanches" and praised the band's "exciting new material."

"Since I Left You" (Astralwerks), The Avalanches' landmark debut album, is now once again available on vinyl -- in a limited edition, blue vinyl double edition, found exclusively in the U.S. at independent retailers, and in a standard double black vinyl edition, available now on Amazon. Released in Australia in 2000 and in the U.S. and the U.K. in 2001, "Since I Left You" placed in the Top 10 of Pitchfork's Top 200 Albums of the 2000s and in the Top 20 of Rolling Stone's Greatest EDM Albums of All Time.

The release of "Since I Left You" was followed by a 16-year radio silence, which was broken with the release of The Avalanches' sophomore album, "Wildflower" (Astralwerks). The album debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Vinyl Albums chart and atop the Australian Albums chart in 2016. Wildflower won international acclaim, with The Guardian hailing it as "a joyous journey" and Pitchfork proclaiming it "better than just about any music ever made."
