How very!

The cult 80s dark comedy "Heathers" will be transformed into a TV show earlier next year, and a first taste of the new series has hit social media.

The trailer first debuted during the MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night, but clips and information about the cast have been posted to the show's official Instagram.

Though originally set to air on TV Land, "Heathers" will now debut on Paramount Network in 2018 but its concept remains the same. The show will follow a 21st century group of Heathers, including a gender-queer Heather and another who is described as having "a body like Martha Dumptruck."

The original "Heathers" film, directed and written by Daniel Waters, hit theaters in 1988 and starred Winona Ryder, Christian Slater, and Shannen Doherty.
