Dreams Do Come True: Adam Rippon Gets to Meet Celeb Crush Shawn Mendes

Could this be better than competing at the Winter Olympics?

Out figure skater Adam Rippon stopped on the "Ellen" show last week, gushing to host Ellen DeGeneres that his celebrity crush is pop star Shawn Mendes.

"I used to have a really big crush on Harry Styles, but here's the thing: I was sleeping on Shawn Mendes," he said. "Not literally, but I didn't realize how cute he was. I know Harry will be upset," he joked. Love is a funny thing."

But it looks like dreams do come true as Rippon got to meet Mendes at Vanity Fair's Oscars afterparty in Beverly Hills Sunday night.

The 28-year-old athlete posted a photo of himself with the 19-year-old "Stitches" singer on his Instagram Story Sunday, both looking handsome in their respective black suits. Rippon added the caption: "BRUH," tagging Mendes in the snap.
