Final Season of 'House of Cards' Gets Air Date
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
The final installment of "House of Cards" is right around the corner.
Netflix announced Tuesday that the sixth and final season of its political drama will hit the streaming service in full on Nov. 2 - just four days before the midterm elections. As previously reported, the last season of "House of Cards" will consist of eight episodes.
Season 6 will be the first season of "House of Cards" since its star Kevin Spacey, who played President Frank Underwood, was fired from the show following allegations of sexual misconduct, which he has denied. In October 2017, actor Anthony Rapp accused Spacey of being sexually inappropriate with him when he was 14 years old. After that, other men came forward to allege Spacey sexual harassed or assaulted them.
"House of Cards" Season 6 will be led by Robin Wright, who plays Frank Underwood's wife, Claire Underwood, now serving as the U.S. president. The show's final season will feature Diane Lane ("Under the Tuscan Sun"), Greg Kinnear ("You've Got Mail") and Cody Fern ("The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story"). Returning stars include Michael Kelly, Jayne Atkinson, Patricia Clarkson, Constance Zimmer, Derek Cecil, Campbell Scott and Boris McGiver, Deadline reports.
