Watch: The First 'American Horror Story: Apocalypse' Trailer is Here
READ TIME: 1 MIN.
The first taste of the new season of "American Horror Story" is finally here.
The eighth season of the FX anthology series subtitled "Apocalypse," is a crossover season between "AHS: Murder House" (Season 1) and "AHS: Coven" (Season 3). The upcoming season will feature an array of characters from both seasons with actors playing multiple roles and will also feature newcomers.
In the 30-second trailer, someone is heard saying, "It's the end of the world" before an explosion goes off and a mushroom cloud appears. There are both familiar faces in the trailer as well as new characters, including Joan Collins, who will play Even Peters' grandmother in the season. Also in the trailer is Sarah Paulson's Cordelia Foxx from "AHS: Coven," along with her witchy squad.
Jessica Lange, who left the show after "AHS: Freak Show," is also in the clip, reprising her "Murder House" role as Constance Langdon. The trailer ends with Emma Roberts, reprising her role as the mean girl witch Madison Montgomery.
"I bet you thought you'd seen the last of me," she says.
"AHS: Apocalypse" debuts on FX on Sept. 12.
