Shut your mouth! One of the big screen's most beloved and celebrated actors Samuel L. Jackson returns in the latest franchise installment of "Shaft" available now on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital. The action comedy is directed by Tim Story and doesn't deviate from the established canon, although this time around badass private detective John Shaft is taking on the legacy and passing the baton. The legendary Richard Roundtree, the OG "Shaft" from the classic television series is also back to reprise his role.

Whip-talented Regina Hall is also in the mix and lending an assist, when Shaft's estranged son JJ (played by Jessie T. Usher) turns his technological savvy onto a case to solve the strange murder of his friend. All lines lead to a diabolical drug ring and a cartel that is corrupting the prospering streets of Harlem. In order to get in good and stop these criminals in their tracks, JJ is going to have to turn to his dad, and his unconventional methods and street-smarts to get the job done. It isn't long before the action comedy turns into a full-on family affair.

There isn't anything starring Jackson that audiences wouldn't dive into! Whether he's battling baddies as a Marvel hero or aliens on "Independence Day" the actor has a flair for both thrilling and entertaining. "Shaft" plays to much of his strength; it's both a flat-out funny bit of filmmaking and it's coupled with some great action sequences. The fact that it begins to (re)establish the franchise with its generational twist, only means that if this one gets well received, inevitably the studio will follow up with a sequel.

The Blu-ray includes several bonus features that enhance the cinematic experience including a "Making of" featurette and a look at the legacy behind "Shaft." The Blu-ray is also packed with a hilarious gag reel and deleted scenes. With the purchase of the Blu-ray you also get access to a Digital Copy that allows you to take "Shaft" anywhere. Action-filled with loads of fun, "Shaft" may not be made for family friendly viewing, but it makes for a great Friday Night date night movie full of bada**ery!
